Checkr and BambooHR

Order background checks through Checkr, and hand each hire to BambooHR.

Checkr

  1. In Checkr, open Account Settings, Developer Settings and copy the secret API key. A test key runs against Checkr's free sandbox.
  2. In Elsin, open Settings, Background checks. Choose Sandbox or Live and paste the key.
  3. Add the address Elsin shows in Checkr, Developer Settings, Webhooks.
  4. Turn on Allow ordering checks and pick a default package.

Admins set it up and recruiters order checks. Checkr emails the candidate for consent, and the status follows on the candidate: invited, in progress, clear, consider, suspended, disputed, cancelled or expired.

A Checkr result changes nothing by itself. A person must read it, and adverse action under the FCRA has its own steps that Elsin points you to.

Certn and Sterling are listed but not available.

BambooHR

  1. In BambooHR, open your account menu, API Keys, and add a key for a user who can add employees.
  2. In Elsin, open Settings, HRIS handoff, and enter your BambooHR address and the key.
  3. Choose when to send: when an offer is accepted, or when someone is marked hired.

Elsin creates the employee with their name, personal email, mobile phone and hire date, retrying up to 5 times. Title and department are in the new hire packet you can download. Rippling, Gusto, Deel, HiBob, Workday and Merge are listed but not available; use the packet or the application.hired webhook instead.
